Sharif Abousaada

General Counsel Maurel & Prom

Sharif has been Group General Counsel for Maurel & Prom since August 2022 and has over 15 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry, having previously practiced in various law firms in London, Dubai and Paris. He is dual qualified (England/France) and holds Egyptian, British and French nationality. Sharif has a wide range of corporate and energy related experience including upstream and downstream oil and gas arrangements, M&A transactions, financing joint ventures, company restructuring and service contracts, often involving a multi-national element. He has also lectured on oil and gas law at the IFP School (Ecole Nationale Supérieure du Pétrole et des Moteurs) and the Sciences Po business school in Paris.
