The Saldanha Bay Industrial Development Zone is mandated and licenced by National Government to establish a 356ha footprint offering South Africa's first free port servicing the needs of Africa's Upstream Oil & Gas and Maritime industry. We believe in providing a world-class offshore services facility focused on an ease-of-doing-business including dedicated port and back-of-quay infrastructure. The SBIDZ is the first zone to be able to offer leases within the port precinct without competitive tenders, and we invite companies to make use of our enabling infrastructure to support their African market operations. The zone is currently working on expanding port infrastructure together with Transnet National Ports Authority to expand the service offering to investors. The SBIDZ has also established community partnerships via a number of programs to maximise participation for those seeking employment and supply chain opportunities as a result of the developments in the offshore and maritime sector.
