Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) is the sole agency of government vested with the responsibility developing and monitoring of local content performance in the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry. It was established in 2010 and its work is underpinned by Nigeria Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act. The key functions of the Board include: 1. To approve Nigerian Content plans developed by operators 2. To set guidelines for minimum content levels for project in the oil and gas value chain. 3. To engage in targeted capacity building interventions to deepen indigenous capabilities. 4. To grow and manage the Nigerian Content Development Fund 5. To create and operate the Joint Qualification System (NOGICJQS) in conjunction with industry stakeholders. 6. To monitor Nigerian Content Compliance by operators and service providers. 7. To issue Certificate of Authorization for projects that are in compliance with Nigerian Content provisions.
