Somit Varma is based in New York, joined Warburg Pincus in 2011 and is a member of the firm’s Energy team. Prior to joining Warburg Pincus, Mr. Varma was Global Head of the Natural Resources Group at the International Finance Corporation with a focus on emerging markets. Mr. Varma has spent over 20 years investing in the energy and natural resources sector in emerging markets including Latin America, Africa and Asia. Mr. Varma is a Director of Apex International Energy, Delonex Energy, and Zenith Energy. He received an M.B.A. from Boston University and attended the Executive Development Program at Harvard Business School.
