Daniel R. Berkove is a Senior Associate for Strategic Energy Initiatives for IHS Markit.
Daniel leads projects in the EMEA region assisting clients with addressing complex, multi-stakeholder issues through comprehensive, integrated research and insight that leverages the breadth and depth of IHS Markit’s energy knowledge and consulting expertise. In this role, Daniel spearheaded major advisory projects in the former Soviet Union, the Middle East, and Africa on a diverse range of topics across the energy value chain.
Having joined legacy company Cambridge Energy Research Associates over 20 years ago, Daniel is a member of CERAWeek leadership team, with a focus on the African community.. He served in executive and board positions in a variety of roles including IPP project development, oil trading, and mobility technology. He has been based in Washington, DC, Boston, and Paris, and prior to joining IHS Markit, in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine and Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Daniel holds a BA degree from the University of Michigan, and speaks Russian and Hebrew. He is a board member of Innovation: Africa.
