11/06/2018 16:20 11/06/2018 17:05 Regional Outlook Panel: East Africa How can East Africa utilize its vast hydrocarbon potential and develop itself as a major producing region for both Global and Regional consumption?

East Africa continues to dominate much interest in the global Oil and Gas sector. Significant onshore discoveries in Uganda has only added to the widely anticipated East Africa gas evolution. Across this session, major operators and governments confront and discuss the biggest issues prohibiting growth, and how we take discoveries through to production:

• Do we need more gas to justify further exploration?
• Supply and Demand: How will the shift from long-term take-off purchase agreements affect production in East African Gas?
• Gas monetisation in East Africa: LNG, LPG, pipeline or gas-to-power?
• Which fields will make it in line with infrastructure development and monetisation?
•  New technologies enabling offshore development and hydrocarbon recovery. Will mega projects such as Coral South FLNG unlock production in offshore East Africa?
