AOW: Investing in African Energy

Join us for the 30th edition of AOW on the 7-10 October 2024 at the CTICC2, Cape Town, South Africa.

AOW is the meeting place for the global community of African energy stakeholders committed to enabling a prosperous energy outlook for Africa.

A trusted partner for 30 years, AOW's world-class conference, networking and exhibition programme bring together governments, regulators, global operators, power producers, investors and service providers. Together, we work to develop policy, secure investment and nurture partnerships that will promote sustainable development and energy transformation across the continent and beyond.

From low carbon exploration and production; accelerating gas; and future fuels and new energy integration; AOW is the only event providing a complete and inclusive view of the African energy opportunities – from investment to access.

Our attendees are the responsible decision-makers of today and tomorrow, representing organisations who are wholly dedicated to realising the potential of Africa’s energy resources for the world’s benefit and the continent’s betterment.

The AOW Mission

Actualising our investment in African energy

Under our mission, investing in African energy we are leading the AOW community towards a holistic energy transition journey that considers the diverse needs of each country and region, where hydrocarbons, gas and new energy become an integrated dialogue and collaborative approach to addressing Africa’s energy needs and development agenda.

We are doing that through:

  • Investing in our content, with the appointment of a new advisory board, to ensure Africa’s interests remain at the centre of all we do, and the diverse voices of the industry are amplified and inspiring the future of African energy

  • Investing in new multilateral partnerships to bring global perspectives and foster regional collaboration that will expedite learnings and unlock opportunities to achieve a lower carbon, sustainable energy sector

  • Investing in high-touch government-led programmes, from closed-door content to facilitated bi-laterals, to reinforce national energy ambitions, inform new policies and broker deals that will strengthen economies and support communities

  • Investing in the future of the industry by launching an education programme that connects industry and young minds to help bridge the skills gap, drive local content, and nurture future talent
